MCPE Map Downloading Tutorial
To download an MCPE map, you need the following items.
A Tablet or Smartphone with the full version of MCPE downloaded onto it
A file manager for that device. (iOS – iExplorer or iFunBox. Android – I have no idea)
What to do:
1. Find a map that you want to download. You can find these maps by searching them online or looking on MCPE Universe or the Minecraft Forums in the MCPE Maps section.
2. Download the .ZIP file and save it to your computer. Once it is done, extract the files.
3. Next, open Minecraft PE and create a new world. It doesn’t matter what it is named, but I would suggest using a name similar to the map you are downloading.
4. Once the world is finished, close MCPE and delete it from the history. (iOS – Double tap home button and delete the MCPE icon. Android – Tap the icon on the bottom of the screen with 2 squares, 1 behind the other and swipe MCPE to the side.)
5. Open the file manager.
6. Go to Apps>Minecraft PE>Documents>Games>com.mojang>minecraftWorlds>(Your Level Name)
7. Find the level that you made to replace and open the folder.
8. Open the folder that you extracted and select the chunks.dat, level.dat, level.dat_old, and the entities.dat file and drag them into the folder on iExplorer.
9. Click OK to all of the items that pop up
10. Open Minecraft PE on your device and your map should come up. Make sure you check all through your levels list because the map could be in the middle, the top, or the very bottom.
